Third year

We got our clerkship schedules this afternoon.

1st block - Neuro (ENH), Primary care (NMH), Psych (NMH)
2nd block - Peds (CMH), OB/GYN (NMH)
3rd block - Surgery (NMH)
4th block - Medicine (VAW/SP/NMH)

While I'm no longer being all Chicken Little about it, THIS IS FAR FROM IDEAL. Actually, it's pretty close to the exact opposite of what I wanted. Medicine.........last? Really? I can't even imagine starting out 3rd year going to ENH everyday for neuro. And medicine last? .....really?

Anyway, I do have one thing to be happy about. I randomly woke up from my nap at 2:48, and instead of going back to sleep (which is what I really wanted to do), I checked my email and at that exact moment Barbara emailed out our M3 schedules. So at least I have my email request in for medicine 1st or 2nd, and it should be pretty high on the wait-list. Can you imagine if I had continued sleeping?? Shudder. I might have sworn off naps for the rest of the year.

I know there are a lot of bad things going on in the world right now, but if after praying for the victims of the Myanmar cyclone, and the earthquake in China, you still have 1 second of prayer left, say a little prayer for me. I know everything works out in the end, but considering how little say we have in anything med school related, this is all I want.
