Here's to being corrupted by boredom...and cat-ho...
Year in Review - 2006
1. What did you do this year that you've never done before?
Spent spring break in Blakely, GA gorging on hush puppies, drinking sweet tea, and helping out at a wilderness camp for troubled youth, graduated from college, ate white-castle, traveled to Detroit, Niagara Falls, and Toronto, fell in love with Philly, oggled at Amish folk, caved into the blog, started med school and turned 21.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't think I ever make any significant n.y.r. but will definitely make some for 2007.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth this year?
No
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Sort of. My grandma on my dad's side passed away before Thanksgiving, but I never got to know her.
5. What countries did you visit this year?
Canada hah
6. What would you like to have in the next year that you lacked this year?
More discipline - need to waste less time on celebrity gossip and fb, study more and oh yes, STUDY MORE.
7. What date from this year will remain etched upon your memory - and why?
12/2 I guess, which may or may not be shameful and self-absorbed. Basically, my short term memory is truly short term. oh well!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Making the transition to college grad/med student/adult(?) and succeeding.
9. What was your biggest failure of the year?
Not making the most of my time in undergrad, and getting caught up in a lot of the silliness/shallowness that was the nu asian trifecta.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Well, I'm wearing a holter monitor as I type and getting an echo on Thursday, but so far so good.
11. What was the best thing you bought this year?
Best deal - CK long down coat for $99. Best thing - Jcrew long wool coat for $---.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration (a public or private personality)?
Barack Obama for speaking at graduation and for bringing a new face to politics, Warren Buffet for donating almost 85% of his Bershire Hathaway fortune to the Gates foundation, New Jersey Supreme Court for unanimously voting in favor of marriage equality, Google for being simply amazing, Martin Pham for being the best class president ever, and since we're getting sillier and sillier, the Donald for putting Rosie in her place albeit rather harshly, and Britney for finally dumping K-Fed.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The Bush administration was depressing, but Rumsfeld did resign and the Democrats did win back congress. Mark Foley and his excuses were appalling. Tom Cruise's insanity, Britney Spears' crotch, Michael Richards' rant and Rosie's ignorance were pretty ridiculous too.
14. Where did most of your money go this year?
Tuition and Rent. Otherwise, I'm cheap.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about this year?
Dissecting the heart during anatomy lab. Talk about a post anatomy high.

Justin Timberlake - Sexyback
Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars
Gnarls Barkley - Crazy
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
- happier or sadder? happier
- richer or poorer? poorer
- thinner or fatter: fatter
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Been friendlier to more people.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Less facebook, ohnotheydidnt and tmz would be a step in the right direction.
20. How did you spend the holidays?
Friends and family.
21. Did you fall in love this year?
Only with medicine... <3
22. How many one-night stands did you have this year?
I didn't pick up strange men in bars if that's what you mean.
23. What was your favorite TV program for the year?
If I must choose, LOST, but Desperate Housewives, 24, and Grey's were GOOD.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I don't actually hate anyone, weird huh?
25. What was the best book you read this year?
I finished War and Peace this year! (which should make up for not reading very much of anything else.)

Casino Royale, hands down.

Kind of high-school - bringing back the sweatshirt and ponytail.

The CCI crew
29. Who was the best new person you met this year?
Nina Sung, who has single handedly helped to make my M1 experience so so good.
