Wimbledon love

Watching sports on TV usually bores me to tears. Even though I'd rather eat grass, every year I'll try to watch the Superbowl because there has to be a reason why everyone else on earth cares. I might get talked into watching one or two games in the NBA finals because every guy I know cares. I watch them all begrudgingly, except for....Wimbledon. I don't even know how to play tennis and could care less about the other big tournaments, but there's just something magical about Wimbledon.

The men's final between Federer and Nadal today was simply AMAZING - the top two players in the sport, fierce competitors, world class athletes, discipline, drive, desire, and heart. Federer, who's considered by many to be the greatest to ever play the game, matched Borg's record of 5 consecutive Wimbledon wins. Rafa Nadal, who by the way just turned 21 a month ago, played so hard and with so much heart, and came so close. I felt so bad when he just sat there with his head hanging down after the game ended. I'm really excited to follow his career for the next few years. Wimbledon, to me, embodies tradition and represents the best the world of sports has to offer. Love it!
