I ride to work everyday with Dr. B and somehow we manage to fill the 40 minute ride with decent conversation. This morning he told me about how he decided to vote early and how he placed his vote yesterday.
Dr. B: There's no way McCain will win.
Me: [assuming that he voted for O] Oh yeah, I hope not!
Dr. B: I don't get the love affair people have with Obama though. He has absolutely nothing to show in his record. He didn't do anything in the Illinois senate and then he got elected to the US Senate and decided to run for president.
Me: ..mmMm.
Dr. B: And what about his association with terrorists?! He's definitely not coming clean with that. And his wife.... She's a MILITANT. How dare she say, "For the first time in my life, I'm proud to be an American." America gave her an education she would have never gotten otherwise.
Then, I swallowed really hard, bit my tongue and short circuited my brain.
