Ever since I moved to the midwest, grapes have become one of my favorite fruits. I mean, when you're limited to mealy red delicious apples, sour oranges and very ordinary bananas, anything else is a total luxury. So whenever these little orbs of deliciousness go on sale at Dominick's, I'll always pick up some for my cart. The problem with Dominick's produce is that it tends to spoil quickly. The grapes became mushy and soft within a day or two, so I had to start freezing 2/3 of the bag and leaving just 1/3 out to eat. Turns out, freezing grapes enhances their natural flavor, and their little insides develop a sorbet-like consistency. It's absolutely delicious and better than the real thing! So now I just throw the entire bag in the freezer when I bring them home.
It was 80 degrees this weekend in Chicago, so these were the perfect (and super healthy) frozen treat.

- You should've titled this entry "The Grape Solution."
- Really, frozen grapes? Everyone seems to be a fan except me...
