I don't even know why I have that title up there. Thank goodness it's Friday because I have 2 whole uninterrupted days to study everything there is to know about cardiovascular, respiratory and musculoskeletal? Not.
Seriously though, thank goodness it's Friday. It's been a rough week of lectures, and despite almost losing it a little in the middle of 306: Orthopedic Pathology (i.e., every bone disease known to man), today has been a really good day. I went to class, learned about biological modifiers for RA, ate lunch with friends, bought a book, turned in my financial aid, don't have TB, got a root canal (part 2 of infinity), reviewed curriculum, stuffed med school junk in my brain, and bought out ABP at their 10 pm 50% off sale with Dennis and Mari. Plus, I didn't lose a $12,000 engagement ring via helium balloon, or receive a funeral bouquet passed off as a valentine's gift from a loving boyfriend. Huzzah.
Also, it is quite possible to be killed by kindness. I was waiting for curriculum review to start, so I called my mom to tell her about the root canal that wasn't, and she asked how I was doing. I said, "Okay I guess. I spend a lot of money eating out these days.." (Apparently, I feel really guilty about this.) And without hesitation she says, "Don't worry! Of course you have to eat out more - you're busy! Spend whatever you need to spend, just make sure you get enough to eat, and that it's healthy, complete and nutritious okay?" I almost cried, because it was just so nice. Okay, I know she's a mother and she's supposed to be nice, but still. She could have very easily said, "Why don't you go buy some sandwich materials and pack your lunch?" (it's kind of the truth) too.
Anyway, I'm going to watch an episode of LOST before bed, AND I'm going to enjoy an extra hour of sleep (and wake up at 8:30) AND I'm going to stay in my pjs ALL DAY LONG. Whilst studying of course.
