world cup final: france vs. italia

zidane's headbutt of materazzi in OT was really bizarre. it seemed like it came out of nowhere, but after two hours of sweating in the world cup final, i guess a racial slur or something could understandably be the final straw. poor zidane though...it would have been so awesome to retire with the world cup in hand, up there with pele and other soccer greats. i just hate that he had to leave like that. he didn't even get to come out to get the silver medals with his team.
